Robyn became a lawyer by doing things backwards. She began by working for almost 15 years in legal offices as support staff on a wide variety of matters including corporate/commercial, employment, human rights, family, privacy, landlord tenant, civil litigation, and construction litigation. It was only after she successfully self-represent as an applicant before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario that the idea of becoming a lawyer took hold. So, she attended law school as a mature student and at the perfect age (in her opinion) of 40, Robyn graduated from the University of Ottawa English Common Law program, cum laude. During her degree, she participated in many moot and negotiation competitions, was the recipient of a prestigious fellowship award, and completed two-degree options by focusing her coursework on dispute resolution and social justice. She articled at an Ottawa/Toronto civil litigation firm while also working on family and business law matters. She was called to the bar in 2025.
Robyn is committed to using her previous work experience, formal education, and lived experience as an applicant in the justice system to advance the rights of her clients. She is a tireless advocate who understands firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial cost of litigation. She is focused on achieving the best result for her clients as cost-effectively as possible.
